  1. What you should and what you should not do

    February 11, 2012 by Andy

If you are a gambling person, you should already know the do’s and don’ts, the should and shouldn’t; however, if you don’t the following information will help you keep your game play fun without becoming a problem. Keep these in mind and have fun as you try to win some money.

First and foremost, know how much money you can afford to lose in any one sitting and don’t go above that no matter what. You never want your fun and entertainment to take over your finances and ruin you. Make sure that you know before you start playing what your budget is for that day.

In addition to knowing what your budget is, you should also never borrow money to gamble. This should also include using credit cards to gamble. Not only are you tempting Lady Luck with money you don’t really have, you are going to pay back a lot more than you borrow when you add the interest and you may not even win anything. You also don’t want to borrow from friends or family to gamble. You are putting your relationship in danger and also giving them reason to worry about you and your games. (more…)

  2. Being careful with new rules

    December 30, 2011 by Andy

Anytime there is something new happening all the players come out, whether they are for the issue or against it. The public is generally inundated with ideas and theories of what will actually take place. The American Department of Justice’s (DOJ) decision to rule that the 1967 law banning wire betting does not include online gambling opens the door for online casino operators to try to get their share of the billions of dollars that is being spent every day.

This does not mean that online poker is a sure thing though. What is does mean is that congress needs to act to pass a bill that will allows states to do what some are basically going ahead with now. There are many political issues that might arise as a result of this. Inaction by congress could see online casinos opening only to be closed down by a future congress and administration.

The DOJ and their ruling, according to some, means nothing when it comes to interrupting law. Some claim that only the courts can decide that, or congress itself. It is easy to understand why no politician would want to deal with this issue right before an election but in order to prevent the more shady operations from taking root in the United States, it would seem that something would need to be done. 3. Doing everything online

    December 16, 2011 by Andy

When people consider doing anything at all online, they will look at several aspects of the sites operations before making the decision to make a purchase or even sign up with the site. The Internet has been around for many years now and during that time there have been many businesses that have come and gone. In the online casino world there are many casinos that have been around since the onset of gambling online back in the 1990s. Sure, many have failed, but the ones who have remained have been successful for a reason, or maybe even many reasons. Land-based casinos however are very afraid of online casinos. Or as they say it, they are “morally opposed” to online gambling. Haha, morally opposed!

It seems that the longer a casino has been in business the more you will enjoy your gambling experience with them. There are a few casinos that started when the industry first began seeing some great success and they are still around today. They are still around because players have found them to be honest and open in their dealings. After all, when it comes to doing anything online, honesty is always the most important thing to consider. If a company is not hones then they will surely not be in business very long at all so the serious online casino will be totally upfront about everything.

This is not to say that new businesses cannot make it online or that people should wait to try them out. It is however, a sure sign that a company is a good one to deal with when they have stood the test of time and have retained many repeat customers over the years. It is in fact a little difficult for new businesses to break into these markets because they are in competition with some of the best available but even still, it can be done and there are many people who have done it. 4. Proper online research is needed

    December 11, 2011 by Andy

There are times when some want to check out what all the fuss is about when it comes to gambling online. There are many who claim to win and then there are those who say that online wagering is like throwing money away. So what can people do to find out the truth about the casino world that is taking the entire population by storm and in some instances, by surprise? While 2012 should be the year for land-based casinos, I truely believe it's going to be the year for online sites instead!

With all of the information that is out there it is safe to say that people can find information just about anywhere. The truth, however, is that finding the proper information should come straight from the game companies and the licensing agencies themselves. Many establishments online will claim to be properly licensed but unfortunately may not be.

Going right to the source is usually the best way to come up with any type of information that is correct and ready for you to put to use. Playing casino games online shouldn’t be either. Any person whether they are new at gambling or a seasoned pro should get the right information. Not doing so can be dangerous and devastating to your bank accounts and credit cards. (more…)
